We all view images differently; when we look at a photograph, we are looking at something literal, but how we interpret an image depends on many factors: our individual pasts, age, cultural background, regional attitude, religion, sexual identity, and thousands of other influences.

In this project, you will use your previous knowledge and originality to create an 8-image series to visual communicate words and ideas

Choose a song, poem, movie line, favorite quote, etc. that has some meaning to you and to the best of your ability interpret its meaning through imagery.  You can be creative by using abstraction or be concrete as you wish. Each image should complement the other as a visual narrative to convey your idea.

With this project, show us something new and exciting! We all know that everything has been photographed, but not by you. Show your viewers your unique perspective and creativity.

Submit your concept and idea on November 9

Plan your photoshoot!  Create a list of the photos you will be taking with a detailed description of each photo, consider sketching things out.  Turn in for approval.

With your final prints please provide a copy of your quote.
